Save the Date: SBS Design Conference
August 3–5, 2026 | Savannah, GA
By Andy Mott, Chief Marketing Officer
This summer, we’re bringing the community together for something new.
The SBS Design Conference is the evolution of the PUG Conference and the combination with the GSI Design Conference into a single event for our expanded user community.
If you’ve attended PUG in the past, you’ll recognize the foundation. We are keeping what made it valuable: practical conversations, real-world lessons, and strong peer connections. At the same time, we are broadening the scope to reflect how the community has grown.
Real-World Outcomes Shared by Practitioners

Utilities, telecom providers, and engineering firms will share what they have implemented and what they have learned across:
- Distribution design
- Substation design
- Transmission projects
- Renewable energy projects
- Broadband and fiber deployment
These sessions will focus on measurable outcomes such as shorter design cycles, improved constructability, stronger standards governance, and better data integrity from concept through as-built.
We often talk about enabling faster delivery, higher-quality models, and more consistent workflows. The SBS Design Conference is where peers walk through how they achieved those results, what worked, what did not, and what they would do differently.
A New Location with the Same Community Depth

We are excited to host this year’s event in Savannah, Georgia, August 3–5, 2026.
The week will kick off with our traditional golf networking day, followed by two full days of conference content featuring discipline-specific breakouts and cross-functional sessions. The new location gives us room to expand while keeping the collaborative, working-session feel that defined PUG.
This event is designed for utilities, telecoms, and the engineering firms that support them. It is built for organizations focused on modernizing design workflows and delivering infrastructure more efficiently.
More details are coming soon. To get in touch with SBS to talk about the Design Conference or any other topic, reach out to us here.
