February 7, 2017

Lakewood, CO – Spatial Business Systems (SBS) announces the availability of a new promotion for its Automated Utility Design™ (AUD) product, a comprehensive utility design solution used by investor-owned, municipal, and electric cooperative utilities. AUD is a new SBS offering based on the strategic alliance between SBS and Autodesk that was announced October 3, 2016. Through the alliance, SBS is now responsible for future development, support, and licensing of the AutoCAD Utility Design software.

Beginning February 7, 2017 and ending June 30, 2017, SBS will provide no-cost perpetual licenses of its 3D, model-based AUD 7 distribution design (staking) product to organizations who have AutoCAD® Map 3D, Infrastructure Design Suite Standard, or Infrastructure Design Suite Premium licenses. All no-cost AUD 7 licenses provided under this promotion are required to have an AUD annual maintenance plan with SBS. Annual maintenance provides AUD users with product support as well as no-cost AUD product upgrades, fixes, and enhancements when available.

AUD 7, which is a based on the popular AutoCAD® platform, allows organizations to leverage their investment in the AutoCAD® software platform and their AutoCAD® knowledgeable staff. An additional benefit of upgrading to AUD 7 is that AutoCAD® users can quickly and economically become productive using AUD 7, resulting in increased productivity, more accurate designs, and the ability to integrate work order management, GIS, asset management and other systems into a design workflow.
