SBS’ commitment has led to the most recent accreditation of Christopher Romine as an FME Certified Professional. Mr. Romine is now the third member of the SBS staff to be certified in FME products thus joining SBS Co-founder Andy Street and Zhongben Wang, who most recently became certified.

About the Certification

Safe Software’s FME Certification Program requires that applicants have two or more years of experience with FME and have completed a minimum of three days of FME training (or equivalent) taught by an FME Certified Trainer or an individual at a recognized instructional facility. This accreditation is designed for consultants and integrators, recognizing proven ability to provide knowledgeable FME support and consulting services.

Additionally, applicants are required to submit references from two completed projects from the two most recent years along with up to three sample projects demonstrating an advance level of FME expertise.

About Christopher Romine

Mr. Romine has broad experience as a technical professional in the field of Geographic Information Systems, and extensive proficiency with Smallworld technology. He has contributed successfully through all phases of the enterprise software lifecycle, for a wide variety of clients.

He is currently a Senior Consultant at SBS helping customers analyze business needs to develop business processes and implements solutions that promote customer success. He has supported Vectren Energy through testing of a mobile outage management system, development of GIS customizations and enhancements, as well as data loading and manipulation activities. Mr. Romine also provided a solution to make GIS data available to field personnel through use of geospatial-enabled PDF tools, and assisted in enabling the synchronization of data between the GIS and Oracle using FME. With Southern California Edison he contributed to the eWorld project by developing tools to export low-level GIS data into Oracle in a specific format.
