SBS offers standard end user training in quarterly open enrollment training courses, instructor led courses, and self-paced eLearning subscriptions to meet different organizational needs and AUD configurations.

FME Training

SBS is pleased to have one of the few Certified FME Trainers in the U.S.A. Our staff has been working with FME since 2003 and offers all types of FME training.

Substation Design Suite™

SBS offers two specialized courses that focus on the configuration and use of the Substation Design Suite™ (SDS) products. SBS also offers mentoring programs that provide practical guidance in the use of the SDS product offerings.

OPEN ENROLLMENT

Once a quarter, SBS hosts an open enrollment course. This is an instructor led course consisting of eight 4-hour sessions over a two week period.

INSTRUCTOR LED

This option is geared toward organizations that are looking to have four to eight individuals receive our standard end user training. Due to COVID-19, this is not in person.

eLearning

This is a self-paced option for end users. The course is hosted on our eLearning platform and is subscription based.

CUSTOM

This option can be customized to meet your organizational needs and AUD configuration. It can be either self-paced on our eLearning platform or instructor led. Due to COVID-19, this is not in person.

FME Training

Type of Courses Offered

OPEN ENROLLMENT

Once a quarter, SBS hosts an instructor led course for up to eight individuals. This course consists of two 8-hour sessions and one 4-hour session. The course focuses on FME Desktop and touches briefly on FME Server.

INSTRUCTOR LED

This option is geared toward organizations that are looking to have four to eight individuals trained using the standard or advanced FME training materials from Safe Software. The materials can cover FME Desktop, FME Server, or a combination of both. Due to COVID-19, this is not in person.

CUSTOM

This option can be customized to meet your specific organizational needs. Our instructor works with you to develop a course based on your specific needs and desires. This can be for FME Desktop, FME Server, or a combination of both. Due to COVID-19, this is not in person.

Our instructor-led courses provide the most up-to-date information on Substation Design Suite™ design and software training in a series of twelve to sixteen sessions. Topics covered in the training include the following:

Remote Training: SDS - Physical for Inventor with Inventor Prerequisite

COURSE COST: $8,000 USD

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Remote instructor led environment consisting of up to thirty-two hours of training with a maximum of six attendees. Schedule for the training is flexible, but each session must be a minimum of two hours. All sessions must be completed within sixty calendar days. Students will have access to the SDS Physical Design eLearning site for a one-year term with the option to renew at the end of the term. The training covers the topics below:

DESCRIPTION: The SBS consulting team will work collaboratively with customer’s substation design personnel toward developing an SDS Physical substation design project. SBS will provide up to forty hours of consulting services over a threemonth period. These forty mentoring hours typically consist of twenty sessions, each two hours long, conducted twice per week.

Mentoring Cost: $7,800 USD

DESCRIPTION: SBS consulting team will work collaboratively with customer’s substation design personnel toward developing an SDS Electrical substation design project. SBS will provide up to forty hours of consulting services over a three-month period. These forty mentoring hours typically consist of twenty sessions, each two hours long, conducted twice per week. Depending upon the scope of the project, more mentoring hours may be needed.
