Technical Manager – Smallworld Magik
Spatial Business Systems, Pty, Ltd., a leading developer of geospatial solutions for the utility and telecommunications industry is seeking a Senior Smallworld Magik developer to work with our team in Melbourne, Victoria Australia. Responsibilities include the design, development and testing of geospatial applications using the GE Smallworld technology and working with our customers to implement software applications.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 5 years of development with Smallworld Magik
• Extensive experience in the use of the Smallworld CASE Tool
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in working with and leading Smallworld Magik developers in the development of efficient and reliable Magik code.
Ideal candidates will also have skills in other geospatial software products such as Autodesk Geospatial, ESRI ArcGIS and FME and experience with relational database management systems, especially Oracle Spatial.
The candidate will be working closely with our customers and traveling to onsite locations approximately 25% of the time. Excellent communication skills are necessary.
