SBS Managed Services Sales/Marketing Representative
Spatial Business Systems (SBS) Managed Services delivers end-to-end management of IT infrastructure, GIS operations and enterprise application availability. We are seeking a sales representative to sell our remote monitoring solutions to customers in the rural electric and municipal utility markets. This job requires a versatile set of skills to support a combination of sales, technical sales and some marketing responsibilities.
The preferred candidate will already have experience in selling information technology services to the electric REA/Utility or municipal marketplace. Key requirements of the job include:
- A strong drive and ability to hunt for new prospects and generate business leads
- Experience in selling to general managers and IT management
- The ability to communicate IT value propositions
- The ability to conduct technical presentations and demonstrations
- Self-motivation and self-directed work habits
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to network and liaise with key stakeholders (customers, suppliers, partners)
- Organizing and attending conferences, exhibitions and seminars
- Development and organization of sales materials including sales sheets, presentations and case studies for our offerings
- Ability to generate and update general marketing content for our website
- Management of our social media extensions
- Participation in team planning effort for specific marketing projects
- Disciplined logging and reporting of sales activities as part of our sales management process
