SBS Announces the Smallworld Integration Server for ESRI
New product offering allows ArcGIS products to connect to GE Smallworld’s VMDS database
Lakewood, CO, April 24, 2006 — Spatial Business Systems Inc. announces a next-generation solution to integrate ESRI’s ArcGIS software products to Smallworld GIS. The server-based solution allows for high-performance, dynamic access to Smallworld’s VMDS database. This enables a truly open and seamless operating environment for read-write access to Smallworld-based geospatial data.
“The Smallworld Integration Server is an exciting new development that extends our deep experience in GIS integration to those organizations that need access to their Smallworld-based GIS systems from ESRI ArcGIS software,” said Dennis F. Beck, president, Spatial Business Systems. “The solution dynamically reads Smallworld from a new ESRI Extension and requires minimal customization or experience with Smallworld GIS to get started.”
Smallworld Integration Server has been developed as an ESRI extension and thus supports a wide range of ESRI product offerings including ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox, ArcGIS Server and ArcIMS.
The Smallworld Integration Server for ESRI is currently available to qualified organizations on a limited-availability basis and will be generally available during June 2006. More information can be obtained by contacting Spatial Business Systems at any link here.
